So what are your new year resolutions?

Have you made a list which contains the following

1. Lose Weight

2. Get out of the debt trap

3. Stop smoking

4. Start an exercise routine

5. Join a gym

6. Learn something new – language, skill whatever …..

Errr Halt!  Enough of that

You’ll have cheated on your diet, missed gym and bought the absolutely darling gizmo before you know it.  Happens every February you know

SOME NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS THAT HOPEFULLY WILL WORK

1. “Be yourself, everyone else is taken” Nah I didnt say it, Eleanor Roosevelt did.

2. Act your age, think your age …  Mohammed Ali once said, “If a man of fifty acts like he did when he was twenty, he’s wasted thirty years.”  I would add, don’t try and date the cute bimbette – you wont have anything common once the lust dies.  On second thoughts, go in for the ride, but dont look for a lasting relationship.

3. Fall in love – with yourself, with life, with this world, yeah with someone.  It truly is a wonderful place to be in.  For the die hard cynics – You might as well …. since you aint going any place else soon

4. Do some springcleaning.  Throw away all the bills, the warranty cards for things long since dead and gone.  Keep all the love letters, hand made cards made by your children.

5. Go through the old albums, laugh at the wierd hairstyles and clothes.

In short the only New Year Resolution that works is to live, laugh and love – sincerely with your whole heart.  It is the only way to live

In fact, I would also add, if you wanna hate – do that wholeheartedly too.  Experience the emotion, break a few plates, throw a tantrum, scream … do what you have to – and get it out of your system.

Then you can get back to doing what you  should be doing … living life KING SIZE~~~~~ QUEEN SIZE

    Awww Ritu, that’s so sweet. Nice resolutions. Good thinking. We don’t expect the regular resolutions people keep anyways. Yours had to be the most innovative of the lot. Thanks!

    Just being practical – the hoopla about resolutions is overdone!

    Well said, Ritu. My list definitely had the weight loss thingy. Glad I read your post before I could actually make any resolutions!! Happy 2010.

    i am making no resolutions.. i never stick to any resolutions i make, so wats the point?? but u’ve got me thinking…may be i need to re-look at the year.. think of wat i’ve done wrong, wat i’ve done right.. u know, basically take stock of life…

    Time enough for stock of life …. life is to be lived – here and now!

    I love your list of New Year Resolutions That Hopefully Will Work!! :) That’s the only sort I am prepared to accept ;) But must I really act my age?? Hmmm… especially with the Junior son or the dog…??! :( I am gonna leave that one out :P ;)

    I always act my age … 10 years mentally, and middle sized chronologically! Think it works for you too

    I make lists and forget them. Surprisingly each December I dig em out and see I’ve managed to cover practically everything (except the gym bit!)

    I like these resolutions!!

    I need to spring clean and get rid of some long expired warranty cards too :) Like the idea of living life Queen Size :)
